meet the founder

With over 25 years’ experience in legal recruitment, I’ve spent my career helping and supporting lawyers and legal teams make the right moves at the right time. I’ve built a reputation across Scotland for providing honest, straight-talking advice and a consultative service that goes beyond simply filling vacancies.

I’ve partnered with law firms of every size from local practices to the largest Scottish independents – as well as in-house teams across financial services, energy, renewables, and professional services. Over the years, I’ve supported solicitors at every stage of their career journey, from newly qualified lawyers taking their first step, to senior partners moving into leadership roles.

Before launching Inglis Legal Recruitment, I held senior positions with well-known recruitment consultancies in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and beyond, consistently delivering tailored solutions for both clients and candidates. Founding my own business was the natural next step: a chance to create a truly independent, relationship-driven service built on authenticity, expertise, and long-term results.

At the heart of my approach is simple but powerful advice as recruitment is about people, not just placements. I take the time to understand the motivations of candidates and the strategic goals of clients, ensuring introductions that stand the test of time.

Away from the desk, I’m often out meeting candidates and clients over coffee (the best conversations usually happen in person) or in the gym and outdoors with family and friends, a reminder that perspective and balance matter in both careers and life.
